Nominations for 2012 ABET Awards

May 31, 2012 (Deadline)

ABET confers three major annual awards: the Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award, the Fellow of ABET Award, and the Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity. 

Current and former ABET volunteers are invited to nominate their colleagues for the Linton E. Grinter Distinguished Service Award and the Fellow of ABET Award. 

The Claire L. Felbinger Award for Diversity is open to individuals, educational units, and organizations. Self-nominations are encouraged. Click here to learn more about each of the awards. 

The deadline to submit all nominations is Thursday, May 31.

Accredited Programs at HBCUs

Howard University was the first historically black college or university to have ABET-accredited programs. ABET's predecessor, the Engineers' Council for Professional Development, accredited three engineering programs there in 1937.
