The Best Assessment Processes Symposium
provides interactive and lecture-based opportunities for applied
science, computing, engineering, and technology educators to learn about
assessment methods and how they can be used to validate and improve
student learning outcomes. 2009 marks the 11th anniversary of the
symposium.
Call for Proposals
Deadline has been extended
through Monday, December 8! Submit your proposals here.
Special consideration will be given
to proposals on the following topics:
- Assessing program objectives
- Documenting continuous improvement
- Writing measurable program outcomes

- Embedded assessments
- Examples of how results are reported

- Use of industry advisory boards in the accreditation process

- Preparing for the accreditation visit
- Links with regional accreditation requirements
- Collaborations between technical programs and assessment/evaluation professionals
