Engineering Change: A Study of the Impact of EC2000, Full Report (2006)
The full report on the findings of Engineering Change, a comprehensive study on the impact of ABET’s outcomes-based accreditation criteria on engineering programs and their graduates. Study conducted and report written by the Penn State Center for the Study of Higher Education. Includes study design and methods; survey instruments used; findings of changes in engineering programs, student experiences, and graduates’ learning outcomes; and employers’ assessments of graduates and EC2000 criterion 3.a-k; as well as seven additional chapters of findings among the specific program areas of aerospace, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, and mechanical engineering. 426 pages, softcover.

Engineering Change: A Study of the Impact of EC2000, Executive Summary (2006) (pdf).
Highlights the findings of Engineering Change, a comprehensive study on the impact of ABET’s outcomes-based accreditation criteria on engineering programs and their graduates. Study conducted and executive summary written by the Penn State Center for the Study of Higher Education.

Sustaining the Change, a Follow-Up Report to the Vision for Change (2004) (pdf). This report is an important update on the accreditation criteria, participation, and process reform begun by ABET in 1994.  Includes background and current status of the reform, as well as detailed observations and recommendations for improvement by ABET constituencies.
