PThe Board of Directors approved the updated strategic plan, which calls for expanded efforts to communicate with external constituents and the public, and continued outreach to both accrediting organizations outside the U.S. and programs seeking ABET accreditation.
Technology Accreditation Commission Adopts More Descriptive Name

The ABET Board of Directors has voted to change the name of the Technology Accreditation Commission to the "Engineering Technology Accreditation Commission." This name change is effective immediately, with universal adoption expected before the 2013-14 accreditation review cycle commences next January.
Patricia Daniels Becomes Adjunct Accreditation Director for Engineering

Patricia D. Daniels, Ph.D., P.E., has joined ABET's professional staff as an additional Adjunct Accreditation Director for Engineering and will assist in the management of the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC).
Phillips Voted ABET President-Elect, Musselman to Become ABET Treasurer

The ABET Board of Directors elected Monte L. Phillips, Ph.D., P.E., as its 2012-13 President-Elect and Craig N. Musselman, P.E., as its next Treasurer. Both Phillips and Musselman will be installed during the fall 2012 ABET Board of Directors Meeting in October.

Hickman to Head ABET Communications
